A Girl's Tenth Birthday: Spa Style

My daughter is a gymnast, so we designed this cake using her favorite colors and
images of gymnast silhouettes to make fondant cutouts to put on it.

The lemonade and "spa water" were available throughout the party
and when the party started I passed around strawberry banana smoothies

This snack table was set up for the girls to munch on

Fruit kabobs, tea sandwiches and cheese and crackers were prepared in advance
and passed around while the girls were having their pedicures.  Grilled cheese panini were also on offer.

Girls were given a robe and slippers as the entered the room

 A pedicure bath was waiting for each girl.  Manicures happened two at a time at the table with the zebra print

Ahhhh...

Two women were hired to do the mani/pedi/facials so I could focus on food (and pictures!) The girls enjoyed three hours of being pampered, reading magazines, sampling different foods, and, of course, loads of girl talk.  Great fun!
